Specialty: Physical Therapy As the Physical Therapist at Bowdoin Medical Group, my role is to supplement the physician's ability to diagnose and treat a variety of musculoskeletal/orthopedic injuries. Because of our location right in BMG's Brunswick office, and therefore easy ability to communicate with the other providers, Physical Therapy is truly part of the treatment team. My job is to help determine what biomechanical fault may be causing or underlying the symptoms, and to develop a treatment approach that best fit those problems. My long term goal for every pateint that I work with is for them to be able to maintain their correct mechanics to prevent further symptoms. I enjoy working with all patients, especially athletes. In addition to physical therapy services, our department offers Nerve Conduction Testing, a innovative and non-invasive method of testing the integrity and health of peripheral nerves. Before working here, I was a PT/Adminstrator for Healthsouth in Bangor for 3 years, and prior to that a PT in the Army for 4 years. I received both my undergraduate and Master's degrees from Boston University. In my free time, I love being outdoors: mountain biking, hiking, snowshoeing, playing golf, etc., especially with my lovely wife, daughters, and Sophie, our Saint Bernard.
