Dr. Hagler spent her childhood traveling throughout the United States and abroad while her father, who was a Navy physician, was based at various stations. It was this early experience that contributed to her decision to pursue a medical career. As a Pediatrician, Dr. Hagler’s clinical style is influenced by the fact that being a young mother herself, she views parent education as having a great impact on the family’s overall wellbeing. She strives to assist parents to make thoughtful choices for their child’s care, and recognizes that empathy is every bit as important as superior diagnostic skills. Dr. Hagler believes that everyone should eat a reasonable diet, get adequate sleep and exercise and that generally this should lead to good health. Dr. Hagler is particularly interested in developmental problems and children with special needs but truly loves the challenges of general practice and working with the entire family. Dr Hagler has two young sons. In her leisure time, she favors cooking and outdoor sports such as sailing, kayaking, camping, and running.
