Dr. Phan is board certified in Family Medicine as well as in Sports Medicine. Prior to joining the Bowdoin Medical Group, Dr. Phan was an Assistant Professor in Family Medicine at the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth. He has served as team physician/consultant for various sporting organizations including the Cleveland Indians, U.S.A. Junior Judo, North America Junior Hockey League, Fort Worth Marathon, and various high schools. Dr. Phan's practice involves the full spectrum of family care with special interests in exercise and sports medicine. He also feels the importance of emphasizing preventive medicine and patient education. It is important for his patients to have a sound mind and body in order to do the things they love to do. He is excited to be in the Greater Portland area. He was attracted to Maine because of its pristine natural beauty and its friendly environment. He enjoys exercising, biking, hiking, and skiing. He also loves traveling, cooking, and would like to learn more about gardening in the New England area.
