Specialty: Pediatrics
Being a pediatrician is awesome, in my opinion. I have found that I thoroughly enjoy my role in the lives of parents and young people as they grow and develop, -- problem-solving, collaborating, teaching and learning. I believe in preventive medicine, especially encouraging healthy lifestyle from an early age, and have linked with several Maine groups working toward this. I have been active in the Maine Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and in the past wrote for a publication summarizing pertinent popular press information for medical providers. The counterbalance to my work life is my most treasured home life – my husband, Hank, my son, Simon, and my daughter, Vivian; our ever-evolving farmhouse, our pets, the gardens. I get recharged by enjoying the arts and by being outdoors. I love Maine for the juxtapositions of mussel bay coast with blueberry ridge, the full spectrum of seasons, the people that build our community and Maine’s unique and special identity.
